This is the 1st gen, 2nd gen is vastly superior and not much more money.

I had first the first and second gen. I much prefer the first gen.

The first gen has easier auto controls, it's a bit faster and lighter. The second gen, does have two batter compartments, but I find the self propel is not as fluent, harder to control. The second gen also has more clearance issues for uneven yards.

I would trade my second gen in anytime for a first gen.

Either way, this is a good lawnmower.

We got this for $339 back in 2021. Still holding up pretty well.
