According to Belkin it's even worse for L-G and N-G:
Clamping Voltage: L-N: 400V, L-G: 500V, N-G: 500V

At 400V your device is receiving over 3 times the nominal 120V it is designed for. If your'e looking for a model with 330V clamping voltage, Monoprice has this one: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=9202 and Amazon has this one: https://amz.run/6dce

I bought these years ago (apparently 8 years ago according to Amazon).

I have 6+ of these around the house and they're still fine. The plastic clips are gone as are some of the inner slideouts in the outlets, but I haven't had any issues.

The spacing is decent. Not a fan of the angled wall connector, but that's how a lot power strips are these days.

I can't speak to the surge protection anymore as I got a whole house surge protector installed and most of my sensitive equipment is behind a UPS now, but haven't had any issues with them.

For reference, I bought these for $30 in 2015...

That's terrible. Were you able to return it?

Nah I have a whole house surge protector and bought this for the 12 outlets, 8ft cord and US company.

Under the surge protector Q&A, a Belkin rep posted that the clamping for this is 330v

"The Clamping Voltage, its circuit breaker will trip when the power spike reaches 330V.
Belkin, International Manufacturer · April 9, 2015"

https://www.amazon.com/ask/questi...wered=true

I believe the "UL 1449 500V (3-Line)" spec is the minimum passable test spec UL puts things through to get listed

When I contacted Belkin they admitted to updating the UL without making a revision to the SKU which imo should be illegal

Bought the Belkin 8 outlet version with a 6 ft cord in 2016 & it's still going strong. I like the flat plug feature so I can push the furniture closer to the wall & the longer cord on this one is a plus. Just picked this one up for another room. TY op.

Is this one ok for small kitchen appliances like an air fryer, instant pot and a kettle? I have the air fryer and instant pot plugged directly to the outlet but tired of keep having to unplug them for other stuff.

Belkin isn't horrible, but Tripp-Lite is my brand of choice when I want a surge protector that will actually "protect."

There is a 10 feet version https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HPX46U. I have a couple of these and love the spacing between plugs. One of the most practical ones if you need to plug in power bricks.
Apparently I paid 18.99 for that 12 years ago. Still working great. Totally weird knowing that was more than a decade ago though.

Damm, Amazon reminded me that I bought these in 2011 for $17. I wish I had time machine to go back and buy some more. Lol
12 years later 5 bucks up not bad at all. Maybe if things increase like this we wouldn't have a inflation problem today.

I buy these and have fried one. All the electronics on the surge protector, TV and such, were all fine after.

That was pretty much the reason why I buy Belkin brand surge protectors.
