By that logic, when the Check Engine light on my Toyota comes on, I should say to myself "I knew I should have sprung for the Lamborghini! Buy once, cry once!"
Klein meters are probably fine, but speculations about their longevity aside, you're definitely (*verifiably) going to pay several times more for a meter with similar accuracy to this.
This is a $15 meter that regularly goes on sale for - wait for it; somewhere in the neighborhood of $15.
I would question both the stated accuracy as well as the longevity, but neither have the time nor the interest to waste to prove either.
If someone's intent is "just to have one in the toolbox" then they probably aren't regularly taking advantage of features such as auto ranging or truerms. In that case, they are better off with a $30 Klein that will get the job done for many years. If they need > 1% accuracy then they should probably spend the money on a Fluke.
I get it. You posted the deal, so you need to defend the value. I disagree that this is a good meter or good value - I wouldn't own it. I decided to comment because I have owned cheap meter over the years and have wasted my money over and over again when they break or stop reading correctly.
For reference my Fluke meter is over 25 years old and still works wonderfully. I switched to a Klein for the "toolbox meter" about 5 years ago, and it's still going strong.

I have owned this exact meter for close to 2 years, and it has not deteriorated at all. I also own a Fluke meter, and I don't prefer using it over decent Chinese meters, but it works great and I keep it around for gucci purposes.
My only problem with Klein meters - and I admit it feels kinda shallow saying this - is the Porsche Boxster vibe. I'm sure everybody knows what I'm saying here.

I see you're stuck on "Klein". Feel free to insert any non-Fluke priced meter (GB, Extech, Greenlee, etc, etc, etc.
I'm glad you've had good luck with your Kaiweets meter. You say that it hasn't deteriorated at all, and I'm glad your $15 experience has been good (my previous "cheap" meters also worked great until the day they didn't.) it's also tough to ignore that these "rave reviews" garner a majestic "F" on Fakespot.

It probably would have been good to grab that one for $8, but who knows how long it may be before that price comes around again.
Edit: actually, I just noticed that this one has an extra lead input connection over the Astro, so they're not total clones like the ones discussed in the vid, although still mostly similar.
