I have the TV and the image - beautiful. That said you REALLY will want the extended warranty. I got mine from Upsie (because they cover burn-in) but I've seen MANY reviews on Reddit complaining about the TV failing and RTINGS also had their units failed in their extended use test.

Note that the S95DB and the S95B are the SAME TV - the only difference is the DB model is a costco-exclusive and includes a webcam.

We own this TV (65 inch S95B) along with a pretty new and premium LG OLED panel.

The software for the S95B is completely unusable. That's true. It's finicky. It's too vibrant for some content. In short, I would take the C2 over the S95B if the primary content was movies for sure, even though the S95B looks way better, the support and incidentals make it a bad choice.

HOWEVER

I have the S95B hooked up to a 4090 pc gaming machine and for that purpose (high end gaming) there is literally nothing that even comes close. It stomps on every other television ever made, and if you're willing to tweak the service menu, which is very easy and doesn't require anything special, it's godlike. I cannot over emphasize how good this TV is for gaming.

This tv creates colors you have never seen before on a screen (literally; the color space is that wide). Things look like they pop off the screen, and motion is buttery smooth. You can also set it to 144hz which means it does 4K native @ 144fps.

I must repeat that if you're primarily watching movies and shows, get something else!

AND IF YOU DO GET IT, GET A BURN IN WARRANTY. I get it's an unfortunate extra cost, but it's necessary. Personally I got the Best Buy 5 year, which was quite expensive.

If you can afford it and are a gamer this is the television of GODS, straight up. I wish I could invite you all to my mancave to experience the panel because there's absolutely no way you can appreciate how incredible it is until you see it firsthand gaming on a 4090 at maxed resolution/fps.

I spare no expense for gaming and always buy the best, so I know what a good panel is. And this panel has no competition for gaming. Nothing is even close.

Yeah Ive loved my Samsung tvs over the years and am on the cusp of getting my first OLED so this is tempting VS the LGs.. But this being Samsung's new oled tech makes me worry about reliability. Unfortunately your comment doesnt help w that. Wink

The LG b2 usually goes on sale for about the same price once in a while 👌

From my experience Samsung abandons software, while LG keeps it up to date.
Samsung does not work well with receivers either. Constant frustration.
That said, if you want the tv that just works for years to come, pick LG

Lg supports DV, but Samsung doesn't. More and more shows are in DV, do yourself a favor, buy a TV with DV support.

Lol you don't own this TV. It is superior to all LG OLED in every measurable display performance metric. The one exception is the new G3 may be brighter. And for the DV statements, DV is limited by the panel. An inferior display that can process DV does not result in a superior picture. The omission is frustrating, but completely discounting the display quality based on lack of format support only shows how well marketing successfully exploits ignorance.

All of these "casual mentions" of Upsie are getting really annoying. If you read the reviews, it's a HORRENDOUS company and the reps do everything they can to deny any claims. Accidental warranties denied because of carelessness… come on now.

I "casually" mention it because I literally bought it. They're the only ones I know of that cover burn-in other than Geek Squad which you can only get at Best Buy.

Yeah I'm hoping for that, tho the B2 in some ways would need to drop down to 899-999 for me to not wait for the C2 to go down to this price of this Sammy. Prices seem to crash too rapidly to not bide my time. Surely LG still has warehouses full of them.

This is wrong I upgraded from LG oled and the qd oled is so much nicer compared to woled in terms of color and brightness only g3 is nicer. Reliability could be a problem but then coatco has you protected
