Note that the PSU is 400W

That's fine for what it is now but it will limit future upgrades

I am absolutely floored this system is SHIPPED by Microcenter. Almost all of Microcenter's deals are in-store only.

With that in mind... There are 4 DIMM slots, here is the manual [lenovo.com] along with the Product Page. [lenovo.com]

Seems like a decent deal.

Just upgrade the video card instead, can sell the 1660 for $150 on Ebay.

Follow up question to my own deal: Would something like this be a good upgrade over my current PC? I'm looking to get a 49" Ultrawide and I Was told my existing system my not be suitable for that

Existing specs:
Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 - 500GB Solid State Drive
Your best bet is getting an upgraded video card. The tricky thing is a noticeable upgrade to that GPU will be about $400-500(add another $100-200 if buying Nvidia)

6700xt has a sale going on (on SD) for a little over $300. This would be a step up, but you might find you need a little more because of the monitor you are trying to run. I heard Fortnite became a lot harder on video cards recently too

I would go with Intel 12th/13th Gen CPU. Now it's 2023Q2, there is really no point to buy CPU that is two years old.
And we can hold the line until recession sinks in, then you only pay probably 400 bucks for this exact PC.

A 3060 TI would be a nice upgrade with the existing PC. Or AMD equivalent like this one.

This is decent, if you wanted a step up here a similar build (same price) based on the rx 6600 https://www.microcenter.com/site/...ae0f79a35b

If yall can't access lmk
Don't know about that 4600. You will also need to budget for a Windows key.

better graphics 13k vs 16k on passmark... plus HP has 32gb. Higher Power supply as well.
But this is good price if you don't feel like spending extra 100.

Something doesn't seem right. The 6600xt in the Costco deal outperforms the 3060, so it'll definitely be much better than the 3050 in this deal.

Whether the 100 price difference is worth it depends on the use case and the consumer.

Tempted to make the drive due to the $25 in store text coupon from last week. Always tough determining when to dive in to a new build.

Does the price have an end date?

Any recommendations for something that could handle a Ultrawide. I do minimal gaming, mainly Work At Home stuff (of course, my monitor for Work At Home stuff is my laptop, so that doesn't even matter

So, my home use is mainly minimal gaming and typical Internet stuff
My main PC is a humble i5-7400 with a GTX 1060 and I run a 34" ultra wide at native resolution plus game on the machine as well. There is nothing day-to day-work, internet, 3D design, etc that it cannot handle. Gaming of course I am not running max settings nor would I expect to.
