Not the brightest projector (actual brightness around 1000 ANSI Lumens) and also android UI (aptoid) comes with it is really worthless.
But 4k projector for $549, I would say it is worth it.

It's pixel shifted.
It's pixel shifted.
I believe the least expensive true native 4K projector is the Sony VW325ES, which retails at around $5000.
Most 4K projectors use pixel shifting technology, which takes a 1080p or 2160p signal and shifts the pixels 4x per frame.
One question that can help to see the point of this post is:
'What is the chepeast 4k projector (with pixel shifting) you can think of, and how much is it?'
here is chipset detail of this projector:
3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution with 0.47-inch DLP chip with XPR technology
It's pixel shifted.
When you watch a polarized 3D movie where each eye sees a different image, do you not see 3D?
When watching a 4k image made of 4 x 1080p frames at 120fps, does it not look like 4k at 30fps?
Got a news flash for you, a "true" 4k projection where all 8 million pixels fire off 30 times evey second is the same amount of individual pixels your eyes see from pixel shifted 4k.
Simple math. Learn it.
