Don't get this if you have induction, the magnetic field causes the thermopop to reset and bug out. You have to lift the pan away to get temp.

As a long time slickdealer I'd say no. Deals are no longer slick if you buy crap you don't need. Buuuut, you could always pick one up and save it for a gift.

Fwiw, I got one from amazon and the screen broke within 1 year and less than 30 uses. I'm assuming this one is built better.
