I would avoid buying anything over $300 from Amazon. I purchased an Apple Watch Ultra from Amazon and it came ripped open and nothing inside and Amazon refused to refund it even after I filed a police report.
My coworker purchase Apple Watch Series 8 and returned it after finding a better price at Walmart. The UPS tracking said it was received by the Amazon return facility yet they refused to refund him for 60+ days. He had to eventually do a chargeback with his credit card and they locked his account and banned his address.
AVOID ANYTHING OVER $300 with Amazon.

Ordered apple watch band received a different size in the correct case
Ordered a skateboard received a pair of very cheap ear rings with the skateboard label on the box
Ordered a $600 lense received a no name worth nothing lense in the box
Amazon is a scanners paradise and not worth it. Use Ebay instead
Record yourself opening the farking Amazon box if you order expensive apple stuff. I'm not sure if the failure was at warehouse or if it happened in transit but either way I was almost out of $799 or so.
They ultimately refunded me but it was a sour experience.

Customer support at Amazon has taken a huge nose dive since beginning of this year too. The chat and phone agents know English but not really. It is hard to explain any issue to them. It also doesn't help that Amazon has taken all power away from chat and phone agents to issue refunds. Everything has to be sent to an investigation department who never gets back to you.
But sure, if you want to risk buying anything over $300 at Amazon go for it. Personally, not worth the hassle when there are other stores like Best Buy or Costco with better service.

1. Yes, it's true Amazon will refund you for items over $300 -if- you received the item in the first place and decided to return it.
2. However, increasingly so, the issue is somehow in transit, the item disappear out of the box. I am not putting blame on anyone but one could potentially guess how it disappears. If you receive an empty box without the item and try to return it, needless to say, that's going to become a huge issue. I will leave it to everyone's imagination as to how it might disappear when the Amazon delivery person delivers an empty box.
