Absolutely wrong. DDR4 and 5 are very different. CL40 Is considered "good" with DDR5. The posted ram is perfect for 95% of the population....

So should I just get this Corsair instead of this one I was planning on putting in my new build?

I am partial to G.Skill memory. Just seem to get more bang for your buck and it has proven to be very reliable in my builds.

I would personally spend the extra $20 and get the G.Skill at 10ns and CAS 30. Just a little bit more performance...

I also really like the way the Trident sticks look. Will be using them in my next build. If you don't need or want rgb on your sticks, you can save $20.

Look up RAM Latency calculators. If memory serves, 10ns is usually the sweet spot for price performance for DDR4 memory. I'm not sure what that number is for DDR5 but it's probably pretty close. For RAM speed, a LOWER latency number that the calculator spits out is considered better.

Edit: Here is a decent chart to help you decide with some additional info. Lower is better, but also increasingly more expensive. Hope this helps you make a decision. https://www.cgdirector.com/wp-con...-Table.jpg
