Golf deal! But… for what its worth, this rangefinder came in dead last in mygolfspy testing. It tested low on accuracy and ability to find the pin.

For casual golfers who want to use a rangefinder, this is probably a fine option. You could also just use any of the free satellite-based apps on your phone (18birdies, GHIN, etc) instead.

4.2 reviews. Costco also sells the CaddyTek one too that goes on coupon for $99. It has far more reviews at 4.6 stars.

Just another data point if you're in the market.

I've had this one for 3 or 4 years of flawless use. Fast and accurate

Whow. One of the few MGS reviews I may actually agree with.

I got the Callaway 300 from a SD posted here. I know the model reviewed is the 350 but the 300 is trash. Need to shoot the pin like 4x to feel good about it.

I don't know about this one but I have the Caddetek for close to two years now and it's performance is great! Only complaint is the battery. The original lasted for close to a year (over 100 rounds with at least another 50 range sessions). Took two battery changes to get through the second year. It does have a battery strength indicator but I failed to check it. Other than that, it's really worth the price.

Yes I'd pass, heard accuracy isn't great. Definitely get one though, can find deals on them and they're a life saver.

One comment said, I just use the blue white and red markers. Yea fine got it, and I'm not looking to be dead accurate either, HOWEVER, where range finders make their worth is hazards... If I play unfamiliar course I know exactly how far that tree is, I know exactly how far it is to the water, or the dog right bend to the fairway. No more guessing where I need my ball to land.

Anyone that plays different courses, my range finder was such a great investment.

Rangefinder has been helpful for practice range. Good to know how far your hitting outside of the golf course gps maps.

Also those stakes are typically put in when the course is built and if any changes are made rarely are they moved properly. Also fewer courses are putting stakes out anymore and the distance is only on the cart path which could be wildly different if your ball is in the other side of the fairway. Can also get a GPS vs a rangefinder. I have an old Garmin that has a course map with yardages to landmarks such as water, bunkers, front, middle, and back of green, etc. That works better than my rangefinder around here with so many blind shots.

I've had both the caddytek and this one at some point, and the zoom is better quality and the charge lasts 10x longer then a battery.
I've shot it next to a bushnell and Nikon and it was equally as accurate.
Generally like MGS, but didn't have the same experience at all.

Just to clarify, I was trying to figure out how to bring the price down from $119.99, and couldn't do it. You were saying that the CaddyTek occasionally goes on sale for $99.99, but isn't right now; is that correct?
