I prefer the Pencil 2 over the first gen, you can double tap for secondary function on Good notes. It also has a flat edge so it doesn't roll off. Also charged by magnetically sticking to iPad.
But you need to have the current iPad Air or iPad Pro's to use 2nd gen. Older iPad Pro's should also work.

Great if you have kids - let them draw or write.
Interestingly I use mine for zoom white boards. Still trying to find a better way to draw on slides or excel sheets... Lmk if someone has a good solution.
