Probably get better performance than the i9 version. Both are limited to 90 watts total system power. 😳

i7-13620H max boost is 115w… How's that supposed to work?

Yep, the i9 wouldn't be that significant of a jump from the i7 and then there's thermal throttling, which again is just speculation as their site mentions appropriate cooling for the system.

However, the total power of the CPU and the GPU combined is 95W. Where are you getting 115W from? Unless I'm missing out something.

Intel's website says max turbo is 115w for both cpus… So, to me, the whole system is limited…

Name of cpu and gpu are used to sell the laptop, but no way you are getting full performance of the cpu or gpu…

On Asus website they show the heatsink and it give gateway a run for its money, by how pathetic it looks.

Total system power is only 90w, not 95 watts…

This ASUS Creator new (no open box nearby) or an open box Omen 17 at Microcenter for $990?

https://www.microcenter.com/produ...uter-black

Mostly for work, not gaming. Primarily productivity software. I'm leaning toward the Omen because of the better card and bigger screen. And the 12th Gen i7 has better multithread performance.

I think the thunderbolt 4 would allow for charging via a dock.

I just bought this, specs looked great but I could not find much information (reviews or videos) about it. 13th gen i7 + a 3050 at $750 after tax seems too good to pass up.

Hoping build quality and performance are good, because otherwise this seems like a really solid deal for the price. A little nervous about the power limitations mentioned above, but hopefully it's alright.

hmm debating trading my lenovo slim 7 Pro x from costco for this... Theres 6GB of ram for the 3050 instead of 4. Although this would be a downgrade on ram and memory for the CPU and the screen is HD oled vs 3k touch IPS.... tough choice. How hot does this laptop get while just normal browsing? is it anything like the zephyrus g14 that i returned for this?

This Asus rtx3050 6GB has a 96bit bus and tgb of 45w with boost to the Slim's rtx3050 128bit, 55w tgb with boost. Screen 15", 16:9 to the Slim's 14.5", 16:10 etc.
