Nope. eBay doesn't sell much, if any, of the Best Buy open boxes.

This laptop only supports PCIe 3.0 and not the latest PCIe 4.0. PCIe 3.0 has HALF the bandwidth of PCI 4.0.

I have the i9 version of the Creator Laptop Q. It does come with a gen 3 1TB NVMe. Upgraded to a gen 4, 4TB NVMe without any issues. I got 6800 mb/s read and 6500 mb/s write results. I'm not sure where that other guy got his info from.

Here's a screenshot of my benchmark: https://imgur.com/a/Ic6nEYA

Heads up, if you are going to upgrade the NVMe, be sure to turn off bitlocker in Windows before cloning your drive. Otherwise you will get a blue bitlocker screen when you try the new drive. The default bitlocker setting for this ASUS laptop is on.

I have this exact laptop. I did get it for $50 less during Black Friday deals from BestBuy. I got it to replace my 6+ year old Asus Vivobook, I5, 8gb RAM, added 500gb SDD and made it the main, 15.6". The primary purpose for this Asus Creator laptop was to be able to handle video editing using PowerDirector. I attempted some video montages that I made on the Vivobook. The video does render much more quickly. The operation of PowerDirector is overall smoother. But at times, when checking the source video files that were added to PowerDirector to see what segment I want to cut and add to the montage, that video would freeze up. The Vivobook did not experience any freezing video, albeit, it was quite slow. I'm not getting the easier video editing I was hoping for. Some video files at 4K, many 1080p, ranging from 1 minute to 30 minute file sizes. Again, it is faster. I thought having a dedicated video card would help see video files in PowerDirector, more smoothly, but at times, the video freezes up.

Outside of that, there are no complaints. Surfing the web is effortless. Watching Youtube, streaming movies, all run just like watching it on TV. I haven't loaded the laptop with apps, anticipating a return is possible. And I'm not a gamer, so sorry, cannot report on those items. The fan is quiet, even during when rendering the video montage. Keyboard is very nice. Screen is fantastic. I feel I got a very good deal on it.

But my Asus Vivobook does about the same thing. Sure, slower, and when the fan goes into high mode does annoyingly rattle nowadays, but really does about the same kind of job. That's why I wanted another Asus, have no issues with them for nearly 15 years. I moved from Dell to Asus. My work laptop is a Dell, and confirms, it was a good decision to move on from Dell. My wife has had an LG Gram for almost 6 years, and loves it. Those are the only brands I have had. I can only speak about Asus, Dell and LG.
