It's way better than a Chromebook. Make sure you modify the power limit and graphics settings in bios (watch ETA Prime youtube vid) to double the performance. You can't beat this value for the cpu and 16gb (soldered) ram and 500gb m2 ssd. Free upgrade to Win11. Limited bloatware. Refurbished units pop up on walmart for ~$260 of the 14" model.
I bought the 15" model last October for $300 (has numeric keypad), works great. The webcam is poor quality. Speakers are okay. The screen is a decent ips (no issues with it falling out like some reported in previous deal threads). They keyboard is nothing special. A tad heavy but it uses metal/limited plastic so build quality is average. The battery only lasts ~3hrs unplugged w battery saver browsing web/watching youtube/movies.
It has older wifi 5 & bt 5. One thing I noticed though is my HDMI output can only do 4k at 30fps, not 60fps so not really watchable. 1080p HD looks fine hooking up to TV though. I'm not sure about the usb-c output resolution.
It has a hatch in the back to add a backup m2 ssd drive (Leven JM600 1tb $40 off amazon).
Same price during Christmas season, several times. I bought in December & am pleased. Of note, problems w/ fingerprint reader was mentioned by several people & I affirm that. Repped.

I just got mine. Wondering how it will work with an external monitor with the cover closed? Will it overheat?
So far,
- Came with Windows 11 unexpectedly.
- Trackpad is awful. But I didn't expect too much.
- Build quality is what you would expect for this price. Not great. Will need to treat gingerly.
But if it does the basics I'll be satisfield.
Is everyone else getting Windows 10 still? I got the blue model.

Look up my posts a few days earlier on ext monitors. In short, streaming 4K/30Hz/60Hz uses about 10% CPU per monitor. Slightly warm with one monitor and warmer with two. Office work, as I'm doing now, is room temperature on top and slightly warm on bottom. Can get it cooler by raising the rear. In this regard, not much different than other laptops (Dell Precision, XPS-15) I've used.
Mine also came with Win 11 and I've wipe the OEM partitions and installed plain vanilla MS Win 11.
Not sure why everyone keep complaining about trackpad and build quality. Trackpad works no different, for the week or so I use it on the road (I use a mouse at home), than my Samsung Book Pro 360 or Dell XPS-15. Build quality is awesome. I seriously can't tell much difference from say a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga aside from the plastic bottom. If I have to pick one complain, I'd like it to weight under 3 lbs. But even my Samsung Book Pro 360, I think 3 lb, is too heavy. And it cost me $1.5K. It's light to carry around, but a 3lb tablet is just too heavy.

This. Looks like some people here feel guilty for buying a $270 laptop, so they need to pretend to be snobbish to justify it. I just received mine and upon the initial visual examination I'm pretty impressed by the build quality, everything is lined, aligned and attached to each other perfectly and overall the machine looks great. Much better than my both T460 and T480 Thinkpads, which were superexpensive at the time of purchase and both of which ended up being complete pieces of crap that eventually failed in every imaginable way making me vow to never touch any things Lenovo with a 10-foot pole.
I literally rewatched the video from 1:00 to 5:00 and at around 2:00 he enters BIOS to tweak some performance related settings and then he goes on to testing performance. He didn't say a single word about updating BIOS. Can you point at the exact moment in the video where he is updating BIOS?

The video only show changing the speed, not update the bios.

Given that it's still very snappy. Have 2 of them and work just fine.
