How can this charge MacBook Pro 16 inch - I thought that charger was 140w - and this is only 100w
2019 MacBook Pro 16" models only came with the 96W adapter. The newer 2021 models include support for 140W charging. Of course, the answer even for the latter case (plugging a 140W capable 2021 MacBook Pro into a 100W adapter) is simply more slowly.
Good luck!

I use this for my MBP which has a 140W charger. It just charges a little more slowly. It's perfectly safe. It still adds plenty of charge when I'm using it (ie it doesn't drain).
I travel with this charger, it covers my laptop, headphones, steam deck, and Pixel. It will obviously only share the maximum, but its been good for me during the past 2 months. As it has two plugs, it gives me flexibility.
Thank you guys - I am in the Apple Store picking up my iPad and this same question casually to the Apple genius - who told me that if I continue to use anything less than 140w - it would damage my battery.

You only need 140W to be able to "fast charge" a 2021 or later 16" Macbook Pro. That means being able to charge your battery up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
You can certainly use a slower speed charger to charge and operate the MBP. I have a compact 33W charger for travel that I sometimes use, or a powerbank that is 65W, etc.
Seems like a good price and the brand is reputed, but if some reviews are concerning.

I bought this assuming it will supply 40w in the second port when both the ports are in use. I have 30w wall charger which charges my Samsung S21 in super fast mode.. So assumed 40w output from second port should charge my phone at super fast mode while charging my laptop with first port... the minute I plug my phone on second port - my laptop shifts to slow charging and my phone charges in slow mode too!! I was atleast hoping to see my phone in fast charging mode!

That said, even though this is 100W it does not charge as fast as the 95W Apple version.

Lol what. Why would using a lower watt charger damage it. It would just charge slower.
