Hits this price a few times a year. Haven't seen it drop lower in the past couple. Bought one a year ago as an upgrade to a Costco De'Longhi. Would buy again.
If this is your first semi auto machine then factor in an additional ~$300 for a decent espresso grinder. Unfortunately large discounts are exceedingly rare on grinders and the used market can be hit or miss.

Also do yourself a favor and purchase a WDT tool. Cheapest way to drastically improve your coffee. Finally, use a kitchen scale and properly dial in the machine. You'll be pulling cafe level shots in no time.
this is such a great machine if you want a no frills espresso machine with a small foot print that just works. There are some temperature quirks like you probably should run an empty shot on your portafilter before filling it to heat it up. Other than that it's pretty straight forward.

If you like tinkering with stuff The Gaggia is probably a better machine, but at this price point if you plan to get this as your first machine it's probably the best one if you don't plan to tinker and just go from this to something more prosumer for your next machine.

You can definitely make great milk drinks with this machine. Just make sure you have a decent grinder to pair it with

Had this machine for almost 2 years now and love it. Heats up to boil in under 10 seconds and the auto steam wand is amazing.

I have the Bambino standard and love it. Makes great drinks, in fact I'm drinking an iced caramel americano from it right now. The only downside is you can't adjust temperature, so it tends to pull sour shots for light roasts. I'd recommend sticking with medium or dark roasts.

My bean of choice for the Bambino is the Columbia Supremo from Costco. I vacuum seal it into 3 separate bags (1lb each), and open them as needed so they stay fresh.

Even better keep the excess in the freezer

I have the bambino standard when it's working it's great and brews super fast, but I've run into an issue with the basket filters clogging. If you google 'breville bambino clogged filter' you'll see this is a common issue. No matter how much it's cleaned with descaler tablets or solution it clogs up. I really regret spending so much money on this defective piece of junk. The replacement filter didn't even last a year. I would recommend searching to see if this model has the same issue with their filter basket before purchasing it. Their support is sending me a new filter right now but what good will that do if it clogs up again in less than a year. I don't think it's worth paying $16 (with shipping) for a replacement every few months. My espresso pot is going strong for 2 decades without issue.
