Super disappointed that it doesn't have the classic GT career mode, but it's still got everything else that made GT great, so I might pick it up if it drops to 30

I didn't like the increased emphasis on the Online as well, some of the returning tracks play much better with the race cars rather than the Gran Turismo staple shitboxes
I'm replaying gt1 after 25yeras, best thing that happened to gt series, since GT3 they made roads flatter no bumps, it took away lots fun. Emulating at 60 fps and widescreen looks almosr like remaster without remastering it
I agree with the others here. This was kind of a disappointing game. There's not really any progression, just a series of unrelated challenges aimed solely at collecting more cars. Zero emphasis on tuning or customization.
There's also a very disappointing rigged lottery style reward system where it spins roulette-style among a bunch of prizes but almost invariably lands on the smallest cash prize rather than the cool cars or big cash prizes.
It's fun enough gameplay, but very little else to keep you engaged and interested.

Wait so there's no like single player slowly collect and upgrade/tune cars type mode? I'm not sure I ever played any other type of mode in this game.

Nope, pretty much what the guy above you described. They said it's so that they can get more people to become "car people" and know about the history and heritage of enthusiast cars but I'm sure even GT5 made more car people than this ever will
