These ecosmart aren't great. I get the expensive br40 bulbs rated for 20 years and I've been lucky to get 2 or 3 years from them. Lol luckily the warranty they just give me new bulbs off the shelf at the local HD

LOL, I have bunch of failed GE bulbs, but none of ecosmart...
GE only licenses to third-party to make light bulbs...
BTW, what are the MR16 GU5.3 bulbs used for?
So, you should buy light bulbs from Walmart than HD ...
fwiw, the bad EcoSmarts I have had don't have opaque skirts around the bottom half of the bulb, as in the product image. So who knows if what I got was generic bulbs from XYZCorp that had "EcoSmart" stamped on them by HD.
Bought a bunch of others branded Feit (HD) and also Energetic (Amazon), none of those has failed in the same timeframe. YMMV, as usual.
BTW, what are the MR16 GU5.3 bulbs used for?
Good luck!

That's surely a significant driver of the discount, as many of the comparable retail packaged ecosmart variants of these lamps are rated as a California compliant 90 CRI.
Good luck!
