You're basically paying extra for the brand and the unique stand.

The Gigabyte M27Q is technically about the same or slightly better and goes on pretty good sales.

For example: https://slickdeals.net/f/16216750-gigabyte-m27q-pro-27-165hz-1440p-kvm-gaming-monitor-250-newegg?attrsrc=search%3Aterm%3Am27q%7Csearch%3Apage%3A1%7Csearch%3Aposition%3A1%7Csearch%3Aresult_type%3Athread%7Csearch%3Aresult_id%3A16216750&src=SiteSearchV2Algo

Still not a good deal. Razer has really been upping the number of things they just slap their name onto without adding any value. RGB, I guess?

that's what I was thinking. I actually have the first version of the M27Q and I must say it has had a bunch of weird issues. I got it off facebook marketplace for 180 bucks a year+ ago so I can't complain i guess. I think it may be driver related but then again possibly a bad unit. Auto update never worked. Both the OSD app and Gigabyte control center are absolutely horrendous. My last straw before uninstalling them both and being done with them entirely was it doubling up a setting and causing an extremely messed up picture . Also as I scroll through different display modes FPS,RPG etc... one of them sometimes will be like insane tearing rainbow horror it scared me at first I thought my gpu would pay lol. But yea for stupid things like that a name like Razer might be worth going for. Definitely wont be going for another Gigabyte display in my life. btw I am a huge display guy I notice different refresh rates and small detail so it may not bother others but I think its a trash monitor, the first version at least. M27Q X looks dope, idk if its still the same BS and i will not risk that.

Maybe worth it if you're full on razer "battle station" with a bunch of their stuff managed by synapse, but otherwise pass.

I like AOC and V I O T E K (name is blocked???) monitors for the "budget" range, but not everyone is familiar with the brands.

V I O T E K (no spaces lol) has a zero dead-pixel policy that they actually honor, and their IPS panels are generally excellent -not a huge fan of VA, but they have better VA panels if not the best.. They even have a newer TN panel that has IPS-like colors but better response times while still retaining that utterly-jarring color-shift at an angle lol.

AOC is generally either beyond excellent for the money or a little overpriced with no in-between.

If build quality and RGBs matter to you, this is a solid price. If you don't care, there are cheaper options with as good or better specs. I own one and love it
