    I have this carbon fiber stapler and it has a tough time with fence post wood. Ended up just using a hammer to knock in the staples.

    I was going to question why these staplers needed to be made of carbon fiber but I quickly remembered how heavy they can be… great choice of materials.

    If you already have Ryobi batteries, the P317 crown stapler is $42+15ship at DTO. It was highly rated by project farm. Probably only worth going with DTO if you're going to also pick up some other tools since it's a flat rate.

    December 23, 2020, Amazon review for the carbon fiber stapler DWHT80276 - We have had 4-5 of these staplers in the past year ALL which have broken & stopped working the same way. There is a small metal pin on the inside that helps give it torque or snap to staple. That pin has broken on every single one of them. The first one we bought lasted the longest - 2 months with medium use. All the others had broken within 2-3 weeks after purchasing. After contacting Dewalt directly, we learned that this item has been discontinued.

    Carbon fiber body where you don't need. And the handle where it pivots is the the pars that's most likely to break and it's made of pure plastic. EEK!
