It tastes better and lasts longer with a little brown sugar or honey. The glycemic load of a little sugar with so much lean protein is not substantial, and a tiny insulin spike would actually benefit amino acid transport. You don't have to use a ton like Jack Links, but it shouldn't be feared to use some.

I've ordered several times before and never had a mold problem. Their jerky is moist, so I usually toss it in the fridge after opening, if there's any left.

Agreed. Just made jerky at home and I never add any sugar, but still hopping on this. Can't make it this cheap.

The tillamook zero sugar is pretty decent. It's drier, too, which I personally prefer over these wetter meat-candy styles.

I've ordered dozens of these in various sizes, none have molded. I even found a few bags when I went back into the office, 3yrs old and no mold. A bit stale and dry, but edible.

I bet the moldy ones have punctures or have been opened for a while and trying to get a refund.

Just to comment about the moldy jerky. I took a video and pictures of the items having not been opened nor past the expiration date and they were moldy. It was not punctured neither as there was no air escaping when squeezing the bags. They were legit moldy. The company said they sent coupons for the jerky but I never received it, and I just took a loss on two bags of jerky. So not everyone is unscrupulous like you think.
