I second this. US bank is terrible. They denied mine and said it wasn't new but jts not true. They won't tell you until the end of 60 days and deny you outright but at the beginning they would say everything looks great until the moment they had to pay out. Don't trust this bank. Terrible!
No, u need EIN business tax # for business checking account
I am being told I can view them for $2 per check... FU US Bank!
I was with Union Bank which was bought out by US Bank. With Union Bank I could go back in time as far as I wanted and view any check deposit, seeing both sides of the check.
Not US Bank. They suck big time. You call in and they will intentionally drop the call or leave you on hold without saying that they are going to put you on hold.
This happened to me too. They said my funding deposit of $100 from Chase was rejected and they closed the account. But they strangely accepted 3 subsequent transfers of $100 from different banks I kept trying to get to work. So now I need to wait for a cashier's check for my $300 back. Huge waste of time.

Sounds like a great idea. I'm going to file a CFPB complaint. I recommend others do the same.
Walked in and talked to a banker. You could be a sole proprietor (use own SSN) or LLC (use business EIN). Must show activity every month (deposit and withdrawals). Must tell them what your business does.
My main bank halted my $ transfer and placed a fraudulent activity marker on it. This happened after I verified the US Bank account with my main bank (Ally). Ally said something on USB's side is the cause. 🤦 ♂️
Also will an individual qualify as a business? Or do they ask anything beyond SSN?
I did this with chase checking and savings and saw no change to my credit score, so I doubt it.

And for others - anyone reading some of our stories still goes through this "deal", you are a farking idiot!
