Obligatory "It's not FUEL" comment. Great option if you're DIY.

I've been waiting for another deal on the 7 1/4th circular saws; however, as a DIYer....what would I be missing from not having the FUEL version?

AFAIK the brussless (Fuel) versions give notably more torque, used to spin faster (3500 vs 5000, but i am corrected that this new m18 is also 5k ?) and despite the above get notably better battery life.

Does that cost (worth) "2x as much" ? For people that use their saw a lot, yes. DIYers or not, make no difference if you...DIY a lot =).

If you go through "20" cuts a year and either saw has a good blade, won't matter a bit. But maybe get a corded saw for $25-30 then and content with an extension?

Also, note that this has the blade @ the right. Even tho I've never used a right side blade saw, I'd rather stick with what I know (left is best).

AHH, you are talking the 6 1/2 inch then for 90ish. I remember that one being cheaper. Regret not buying more but I thought it was getting cancelled.
