If you price out a M2 Max version of this deal on Apple's website it's $4,099.
Paying 64% more for 13% more performance is lunacy.
Is this the best deal I'll find on a 14" 2021 with M1 Max? I'm looking for the 1TB 32GB M1 Max, but I don't see any deals for those.
I'm even tracking used on ebay and they're going for around $2200, so even though this has more memory and hard drive space than I'll need, I think it's a great deal and makes sure this lasts for years with the extra ram and storage.
So it's either this or wait for the 1tb 32GB option to go on sale.

damn I got my MacBook Pro 16 M1 max like this one but only 32GB of RAM for 2750ish after taxes at Adorama. I also have the pay boo card to save on taxes on this purchase so this would have been cheaper $250 and got 2x the memory. I do give up the extra screen space and battery life, but man I think I would've done it...

If you need that power, stay with 16. The 14 will overheat on you.

M2 Max is a 13% performance increase over M1 Max. 13%. That's barely noticable.
