I bought one of the L9G 120" last year. The picture is awesome and I have it mounted in my living room with a fair amount of ambient light. Of course the picture is even better at night. The dolby vision update was OK, but most of the time I watch regular 4K content without HDR or DV. Never go to a theater again.

Any thoughts on the regular vs DLT 1.0 gain screen? My understanding is you lose some viewing angle with the DLT gain, but it's better in brighter rooms?

If you have a brighter room or more windows in a living room then a DLT would be better. You lose a little bit on the side view angles but I think the picture is more important and the DLT will help with that brightness.

For those with the 120 inch screen, how far away from it are you sitting? Is 9 feet far enough back or will it be uncomfortably large?
9' is too close. The closet point of our sofa set to the 120" is 11 feet, furthest being 14' which is what I prefer. This isn't scientific, but at least 1' distance per 1' screen seems to work.
Even LED is going to to look better and brighter than a high end 3 laser system.
Not sure why you're being down voted on this. The 98" TCL is a better picture and not that much more currently. In a year it may be in this same price range.
