Lowes app is such $hi.. just trying to navigate it makes me want to "thank" whomever manages it for them.
P.S. It seems like adding free item doesn't reflect in cart, maybe because if free one is not available it won't provide reduced price, the "fun" part is it doesn't show which store has the free add on only ones that carry the hammerdrill and for those so far out of 6 stores none shown the free as being discounted. Might be different for others so if someone manages to order one share the experience I guess.

I got an electric SDS hammer drill to install a railing on the front porch, since all the youtube videos said it was needed for drilling into concrete. It drilled into solid concrete like butter, took me a few seconds per hole. A couple people told me to return it since I said idk what I'd ever need it for again, but it did such a nice job I can't bring myself to return it, plus it isn't defective or broken so seems shady to return it after using it. Anyway, if you have jobs that involve drilling into concrete and are debating whether an sds hammer drill is worth the expense, it is. Now I have to find more jobs to use it on.
man bosch needs freaking nailers it's ridiculous. I sold all my bosch for metabohpt because at least...they have (awesome too btw ) nailers. And the bosch starlock, etc stuff with no generic compatibility needs to take a hike. I'd have let that stuff slide but man cmon no nailers? Wtf
Only holes really found in that hpt line besides specialized stuff was no smallish jobsite vac, and no unique tools like flexiclick, etc .

I won't get rid of what I have but I started buying from a couple other brands because Bosch's product line is often either too little, too late or not offering anything in many major product categories.
Starlock isn't Bosch's exclusive design, it was designed in conjunction with Fein and there's quite a few other brands that have sublicensed to make tools and bits. I'd like it more if I could find affordable adapters because it's super nice for swapping bits and changing orientations.

yeah it's either milwaukee, makita or mix/match. like metabo hpt also doesn't have a cordless tracksaw, etc so if you have a lot of tools no avoiding it. In hindsight i probably would have kept most of the bosch and picked up just the hpt nailers. I was too lazy to check their complete line and think clearly, but the starlocks bug me as i get the amazon cheap carbide for nails and go through them like water sometimes so ultimately would have had 2 multi's anyways.

I highly recommend, if you get this deal in store, to ask the Pro Desk if they have a local Bosch rep and for their contact info. Bosch offers a lot of promotions exclusively through their retail rep team and f you're spending anything over $200 generally they can swing some promotions for you, and they often stack 22w2 in store deals.
