But when I want to lay back on the sofa, or in bed, or even just move it around the house casually, I'm instantly reminded how much more portable and light-weight the 14" is. People make jokes about how the 16" is only a pound or so heavier, but it's all relative, so percentage-wise it's a good amount larger and bulkier, and I think the form factor/weight distribution/shape of it makes it SEEM heavier than just a pound difference. I can easily move the 14" with one hand, but with the 16" it almost feels like it could crack the screen through the top of the lid by gripping it like this, and it takes two hands to comfortably move it around.
I just worry I'll end up keeping it docked most of the time to my external monitor which sort of defeats the purpose of the larger screen. But I'm sitting here on my sofa right now typing this and man, it really is gorgeous.
I probably should wait for this MacBook Air 15" that I heard someone mention since she doesn't really need all the power and features of a MacBook Pro (she only got Pro last time because of the screen size). I think WWDC is next month, might keep this one sealed until then to see if they announce anything. Hopefully the price is close to this or less.
