Unable to unlock the S23 as they insist the phone needed to be with Spectrum for 60 days. Anyone got the same answer?

Did you have to cancel the line when trading in the fully paid off s23's or just existing line you got the new 23 on? I'm looking to trade in s23 I got yesterday from them (paid full) for the free s23+ value/trade (the line is active)

It's been about 22hrs since the s23 was bought. The website says the line is eligible for upgrade but gives 'server error' when you try /click
For me, as an early experimenter, i didnt cancel anything. I used the same lines over and over. Still using them now.

I posted i stopped because i wanted to end up with an s23 ultra abd a plus. I figured at some point it would stop. Either due to inventory, employees catching on or spectrum blocking it. I certainly came out well enough and was happy where i stopped. Plus the employees knew who i was and what i was doing as the same employees were working each day.

Recent posts mention inability to do this in store. Not sure if it was from S23 to S23 only. Or a general issue with upgrading on the same line that you just upgraded on a few days prior.
I tried to do another s23 to s23 . They couldn't do it after telling me I have $140 credit after the trade. Going to a different store and upgrading a different line.

Are you new to spectrum? I've been with them for 2 months. I just called and tell them my phone is paid off and I need it unlocked. So far, 5 times and it's all good.

Thanks, I guess that's the reason. I just opened this line for the promotion.

Long time Spectrum internet customer. In CA, traded in two phones and only paid tax on full price of S23. We then traded in one for a S23+ with no issue. However, we tried unlocking through chat and got this:

"Due to excessive fraudulent requests we are no longer in the performing unlocks through chat."

We are going to try to call but this is really unfortunate timing since it seemed to be working for everyone for so long.

Try calling, it seems as though some CSRs are really enforcing the 60 days unlock policy and others dont care. It seems as though this unlocking situation might be getting harder really soon.

I have two S23s that i am going to try to upgrade to s23+ and then im done with this promo lol.

I got the same message but it should have given you a phone number to call (8..3..3)2.2.4. 6603... just say you finished paying off the cell and would like it unlocked ,please. I think the automatic phone system when i said the phrase 'unlock phone' it said i needed to go to a website or link, and sounded like it wouldn't progress, but i just clicked 0 (zero) and it then said it would send me to a human and it asked for my 4 digit security code. It then got to the mobile billing help guy for unlocking (mentioned the paid off my phone, unlocked please etc)

My question: your s23 to s23+ on the same active line, **how long** did you wait from the time you got the 23 to upgrade/trade that back in on the same line for a s23+ ? I'm about 1 hr away from 24hrs of purchase.... earlier today the website test method gave "server error" , despite it saying the line was ok to upgrade in green letters before trying. I will do this also in-store

We waited about two days. We even went to the same store 😂. We just said we wanted to upgrade a line and they gave us no issue.

Keep trying, I talked to like 5 reps and they unlocked it later. Do it through phone. Say you are traveling and need phone unlocked and say you've been a long time customer. GL I am trying to unlock my other one.

Can store employee unlock the phone? When I got mine, he said it is eligible for unlock. He even showed me his screen with unlock tab. Since my porting process was not completed instantly, unlocking process couldnt be completeled there. I wonder if you could go back to the store to unlock the phone if you are unable to do so via phone or chat? I have yet to contact them to unlock the phone though.

I believe we just needed to get past the automated bot. Once we got a real person in the chat and provided account PIN they unlocked it for us.
