I'm Hanzelnuts, I was mentioned in the Wiki. You guys are lucky because Spectrum is excepting a lot of older phones as trade in for this promotion. A Note 4 is now worth $35 + $600. That's crazy.

I did this promotion 2 months ago. Traded in my Note 9 for $27 and Iphone 8 plus for $12. Note 9 was the oldest they will take back then and so was the iPhone 8. I had a Note 4 that didn't qualify. I had to buy the IPhone 8 for $90 to do the trade in.

I went in the store and paid in full for S23 Ultra and S23. Contrary to FatGuyPoolShark, I like many people, had to send in our trade-in to Assurant. You'll be lucky if the store accept your trade in. It has to be sent in.

Anyways, I have Spectrum internet. There was a promotion of buy one unlimited line for $29.99 and you'll get one line free. For those that didn't get this promotion in their email, ASK THE REP at the store if you can get that promo. Chances are, they'll say yes.

I was able to unlock my 2 phones within one week. I called and asked if they could unlock them and the agent unlocked them while I was on the phone with her. You might want to say you're traveling and needed them unlock.

Assurance emailed me and says my phones were accepted as trade-ins. But instead of $27 for my Note 9, they only going to pay me $15 reason being it was late. It wasn't late, as they received it within the 30 days required to mail in.

I have a credit of $1227 with Spectrum right now. I'm too busy to call and ask them to credit them back to my credit card. It shouldn't be a problem though.

Feel free to ask any questions if need to.

Probably not because it's stated somewhere that the phone must be factory reset. Without visible evidence of this when turning on the phone, it's likely to be rejected.
Thanks for the advise, Did n't want take risk

So i bought it today in store and traded my tracfone in ($5+600) and it came to $215 after tax. Slick deal. I don't really NEED the s23 but I'm considering using it as an extra camera for multi angle content with my iPhone 13 Pro. I opened the box only to remove the SIM card. I didn't actually turn the phone on to activate it. Is this thing worth selling or should I just keep it? Where does it sell?

from an earlier post ($40 HSN A03s Tracfone, $33 OTD with coupons and tax) - Does not need to be carrier unlocked
Activate
make one call
factory reset (first steps may be optional, but leave you with a live Tracfone SIM)
remove SIM

Spectrum Store, $605 off S23. Pay in full if you want to be instantly upgrade eligible for a S23+ or S23 Ultra, some say wait a day or two to upgrade.
So I can trade in this s23 for the ultra version? How much does the upgrade cost?

Is the IMEI printed on the back? If there is a way to get the IMEI from the phone, and you don't mind getting rejected, try it in store. Some reps don't even turn on the phone.

Went to store , they did not had s23 in store but took trade-in phone and ordered s23 for me , will get charged full for phone and receive credit back later .

Now if I trade s23 again for s23ultra , will original credit and new credit come back or it will be just one credit ?

If you did the bogo $29 line, can you add 3rd line for the Gig $14 plan?

Yes, each line can have different plans, but you know you can just immediately upgrade on your existing lines. Try pricing it out online and add everything to your shopping cart. If the shopping cart has the $600 credit, then you are good to go in-store as an upgrade. You only need to add more lines if you want to process more trades per visit to the store or if you are trading in online.

I've already upgraded to s23+ and S23U. They want me to wait 60 days to unlock. I have an iphone 6+ laying around. If I have to wait 60 days. Then the $14 plan make sense.

Checked with the store, They don't want to risk if Assurant denies after they send it for inspection

I sign up for Spectrum internet last week and had SE first gen laying around potently for trade ins, they offer me free line for one year, so I paid for S23 with trade in, in store $212.Rep told me at first it's only will be credit over 36 months.I asked her if I could pay in full which she said yes but then you get Visa card and it will take time, told her it's fine, will pay in full, so when she processed to checkout it's actually applied 605$, which was great Smilie Slick

Failing to activate the phone on Spectrum Mobile violates the terms and they might try to claw back the $600 promo somehow. Also, without activating the phone, which probably requires having the SIM card in it and powering on the phone to do some of the basic setup, the phone might remain forever locked to Spectrum Mobile.
