It was only designed to be digested over 1000 years in a Sarlacc pit, so yeah it might crack.

One review:

The instructions say wash by hand and no microwave, but so far, I have washed on the top rack of the dishwasher and re-heated coffee on the microwave with no problems. Also, you might think that the mug came damaged, but in reality, it is just incredible detail to match the actual helmets

Hate mugs like this to actually Sri k out of. Usually end up as a pen and pencil cup. But that would could make a nice small planter.
