FYI this does NOT kill grubs, and is miss-pictured and miss-described (you will get a bag with no mention or image of grubs on it with the same UPC). Been trying to get amazon and spectracide to update the listing for weeks to no avail.

Buyer beware.

If you care about bees: "This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds if bees are visiting the treatment area."

Funny you two should mention those little demons. I have lived in my current house since Aug 2021... so not long. Last year I think I saw one or 2 in the house by the back door... didnt pay too much attention.

This year, however, starting middle of April (last month) I have seen hundreds or thousands on the outside of my siding and another hundred hanging around inside and outside of my windows... occasionally they do make it to other places in my house.

I have sprayed Talstar P, 1oz to 1gal of water, and have had great results. I also have a contract with a pest control company that comes out and sprays every quarter. If I have a problem they will come in between regularly scheduled visits. They've been to my house specifically for the mites 2 times now... still not under control.

I had grass that went right up to my foundation, so this past weekend I removed it and put high quality weed fabric down and then put an 18" barrier of river rock in. I finished moving 1.5 tons of stone sat evening, then I used a hose attachment of spectracide, washed my house, front back and all sides and all the river rock and several feet out into the yard.

Yesterday, I mixed 2 oz per 1 gall water of Talstar P and applied a very very liberal amount (used 3 gallons total) to the sides, foundation, and about 3ft into the yard) of that insecticide. I saturated the windows, doors, and cracks or crevices, and made sure to get it on the screens, etc.. I looked in my kitchen bay window and I did not see any moving mites today (many many dead ones that I haven't cleaned up yet)... I don't have the heart to look at the other windows.. but on the outside, in the few places I was looking, I saw extremely minimal activity... maybe 1-2 here and there.

I am in NW Ohio. I don't understand why they're so bad this year. My neighbor had them too but didn't care. He said he had them extremely bad several years ago.

They are a cyclical bug... very active in Spring and Fall... do not like cold or hot temperatures. The mites that make it inside do not want our food, clothing (like silver fish or carpet beetles), they don't bite, and the only negative thing is they leave a red pigment stain when squished.... all the same, i don't want to see them in my house or my computer desk at all!

I have a few bags of these granules and I am waiting for the rain.... we had a super wet late winter/beginning of spring (which could be why they're so bad right now), so I can lay the granules and eradicate the ones in the yard.

They are repulsed by certain plants, Roses, Chrysanthemums, Geraniums, and a few others... Also, if you lawn is over fertilized or heavy on the nitrogen, that is like a buffet for them!

DO MY OWN dot COM (all one word) is where I buy all my insecticides and such that is light years better than the crap they sell at the big box stores. Talstar P is super effective at darn near everything (You spray that around your house and outside I guarantee you'll see dead insects for weeks).. but weather and the sun will break down the chemicals you spray on your house.

That website sells a mite-cide but is very expensive.... I am told the clover mites do not like mulch (but that attracts other insects) or small gravel/pebble barriers.

I bought 3-mule team borax to put in the bottom of my window sills for any stragglers.

NOTE: the Talstar P (and many but not all) is safe once dry.. so keep pets and children away from the applied product until it is very dry.

I need to get rid of the wasps and hornets that hang around my lawn. Apparently they are trying to find white grubs? Any recommendations? I killed about 30 in the last two days by spraying them with a dish soap and water mixture but that is not something I want to keep having to do.

I've never used this product before, I have a veggie/herb garden. Is this safe to pour/intermix directly with the veggies or should I only pour around the garden?

Not to sound harsh but you don't 'pour' this or any other chemical on your lawn.
You apply according to the label instructions, in this case it is labeled for Turf Grass and
around foundations only Not vegetables.
You can poison yourself and others by misusing lawn and garden chemicals, especially insecticides.
For many insecticides you need to water it in to the lawn for them to work on the insects being controlled. so PLEASE read the instructions before using.

I spray outside house perimeter every 2-3 months with bifen-it. Sometimes around lawn with bifen too. Do I still need this?

Let's just keep pouring chemicals into the ground. Never understood why people want to KILL insects that live OUTSIDE??

For what purpose?
some of these insects eat up grass roots. so it kills your lawn
some bigger insects like grub do the same and then racoon, vole, skunk etc dig up your lawn looking for these insects

agree that it is not a necessity.

You might want to look into Food Grade diatomaceous earth for your garden area. It will kill the ants & it is safe (for humans and pets) to put on the plants too.

What does everyone use for Termites under the house and around the house (not sure if there are any out there, but got one swarm out of my front door frame)

I use this for spot treating fire ant mounds. Some employee at Home Depot turned me onto it. He said it was way cheaper than the products specifically made for fire ants and it works really well for killing ants.

Bifen-it is reasonably priced and works great for everything. Buy one small container and use it for few years.
Termidor is good for termites.
Do perimeter soil treatment if you want to be extra careful with termites. https://www.wikihow.com/Apply-Termidor
