I think this deal is best. we can also avoid recovery fees if you buy with mint website ?am i right. I thought to buy annual plan from target for 180$.any suggestion?
I agree. I think it's best to buy 12 months SIM card from Target to avoid $18 worth of recovery fee. Only advantage of 3 months plan is if you plan to port out after 3 months.

Can I get referral credit also with this plan while activating the SIM?
I don't think you can get the referral credit when you buy and activate from the target sim card. You need to use the referral link and buy the sim card from mintmobile in order to get the referral credit.

Also the referral credit is $45 from mint mobile for use towards your own plan renewal so if it applies to you it would be a better deal to go the referral route instead of taking advantage of the target gc which is worth $25.

You can get $25 gift card for each 3 month sim kit. You get $100 worth of gift card if you buy four 3 month sim kits. You only get one $25 gift card if you buy a 12 month sim kit.

Can't you actually get $90 in credit if someone signs up for the unlimited plan at $15/month? Or $75 for the 20GB if the friend needs more available for hotspot?

yes, ive done it.

downside: mint sometimes has a special sale around every thanksgiving/xmas but cant be used on phones that was on their network in the past 6 months.
of courser since the merger with t-mobile, no idea if they're going to do it this year.

To get around that, I assume you could activate on a phone that hasn't activated a plan before and then immediately swap the sim to your phone that has been previously used with activating on Mint?

Mint referral is $15 as I see it now. Was it $45 at some point or is that a typo?
