OP: Link doesn't work.. well not if you were trying to link to the item vs the main costco website.
Is this a 37.5 lb bucket???? math doesn't work for a 35 or 40lb bucket...
OP, please at least tell us what state you are in. This could be regional pricing although as with Sam's club reduction, it is quite possible that prices are finally coming down, but I don't want to get too excited just yet.
I am on the west coast so our stores are not open yet but planning to call and check.
These are 37.5 pound containers, found them in my store in Syracuse, NY but did not find them at Costco.com. I just bought one bucket and may go back for a second because chlorine prices are still very high. The $30 instant rebate ends 5/28.
These are used for chlorinating pools. The downside to tablets is they also add CYA. In small dosages CYA is fine (and useful) but over time it builds up and reduces the effectiveness of the chlorine. I stick with liquid chlorine which is similarly high priced. With that being said we did use tablets when on vacation as they are easier to manage for my neighbor.
I just use liquid plain bleach and my pool is always sparkly clean and stays clean with minimal effort. Just pour some bleach and vacuum every few days. These used to mess up my pool chemistry and I kept having to buy more chemicals because of it. It's like pouring fire to extinguish the fire. In my view, these are 100% not needed and actually harm the pool. YMMV. Learning as I go along, 10 years of pool ownership.

This isn't a bad deal for those use tablets or tablets + liquid chlorine, though.
