My pasty family gets Walmarts equate brand for our annual 2-week trips to Florida. It's about $3 a bottle and as long as we reapply often enough, we never get burned.

I love sum bum. EWG (someone already posted a link) does research on chemicals and sum bum always does well.

I like it because it protects well without feeling gross, is high quality without feeling like it is still on you 16 showers later, good enough for sensitive skin.
I use sun bum 30 or 50 for adult female and baby bum mineral 50 for my child (currently 3, only used this).
I live in Florida and beach/pool often.
I like that it is reef safe (as previously mentioned)
The only sunblock I buy for my family and recommend to others.

We recently traveled to Hawaii so we tried this stuff as it's reef safe. We got the scent free version and really liked it. Rubbed in well and didn't leave us feeling greasy.

nice. their tinted spf lip balms are great so picked up the two colors- more color/flavor than most and v moisturizing. works as blush stick too

It is great stuff! Not so fun fact, though — most chemical sunscreens are now banned in Maui and the big island! It's actually prohibited to use or but the stuff now. Kauai and Oahu it's still allowed. You won't find this stuff on the shelves if you go looking in Kona or Maui.

This is true. I'm a flight attendant and almost exclusively work the island flights. Maui and the big island prohibit the use and sale of all chemical sunscreens. Obviously, they aren't going to rummage through your bags looking at sunscreen, but you're only going to be able to buy the zinc oxide sunscreen in stores that turns you even whiter. Oahu and Kauai you can still get chemical sunscreens.
