Virtual Credit Cards

I am sure this has been discussed previously, but I couldn't find it in the search options.
I know now, that certain credit cards have an option of creating a card # and name that is basically a 'place holder'. It doesn't have any money behind it. My two cards do not have this option. Chase and Amex do have it.
That is what I am looking for, as I wanted to side load Google Play on my Kindle tablet, and now you have to register with a credit card to use those files. Before, you only had to register on the websites. I do not like the idea of using my real card for just this purpose.
Ideas, suggestions would be appreciated.

I do think that Chase still does it for some tiers of their card.
I will follow through with your CitiBank suggestion.

P.S. Val Kilmer, in Tombstone, is one of my favorite Western acting roles. Doc Holliday for the win!

vec,
Thank you for this option. This seems a better route for what I am trying to do.

I'd be more or less ok giving privacy.com bank account info, but you'd lose out on the cashback from your regular credit card (and also the benefit of deferred payment via credit card) ....and any purchase protections your credit card offers (admittedly not as common as it used to be, and non-existent on the Citi Double Cashback card as of 2019
