It looks like this phone is on sale again for $40 and will unlock after 6 months. Yes, it is not as good as Pixel 6a or the Samsung A54, but it cost less than 1/2 compared to both of the phones but it is the best value for $40. Although the phone specs are good, it is still stuck on Android 12.

OnePlus is not the same anymore and so is its OS (which is now almost the same as oppo's color os) The biggest issue with all the subsidiaries of BBK Electronics Corporation (OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Realme) is data theft and security/privacy concerns. Unless you are unlocking the bootloader, wiping the OS completely and using a clean custom rom, the risk of data theft is not worth it. That is part of the reason why these devices are generally dirt cheap as compared to competition.

In fact oppo, vivo and realme are so fishy, they don't even allow bootloader unlocking at all and oneplus is now on the same track.

This is just my opinion based on my experience. Not claiming that it is a make or break for anyone else who is considering these devices. No intention to offend.
Great info, of which I was not aware of.

Um, Dude? That's for enterprise Samsung Data Services and its websites. Not their phones.

Further down, it stipulates that it will not release any customer info without consent.

So, I hope those out-of-context cherries you're picking are tasty.

think most of these companies are following privacy laws in countries where they sell their products. like it or not, we are all being watched by the big brothers

Samsung Information Sharing:

We may share your personal information with our subsidiaries and affiliates and with service providers who perform services for us. We do not authorize our service providers to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or to comply with legal requirements. In addition, we may share your personal information with our business partners, such as wireless carriers, as well as third parties who operate apps and services that connect with certain Services. This kind of sharing may be considered a "sale" under certain state privacy laws.

We may share personal information we collect through the Services if you ask us to do so or otherwise with your consent. We also may disclose information about you in other circumstances, including:

• to law enforcement authorities, government or public agencies or officials, regulators, and/or any other person or entity with appropriate legal authority or justification for receipt of such information, if required or permitted to do so by law or legal process;
• when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity; or
• in the event we may or do sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution, or liquidation).

And I'm positive that Samsung does not share personal data with totalitarian governments via surreptitious OS and app methods as OnePlus does.

Did anyone try to use this phone with Verizon or on the Verizon network.

Some people are saying it works if you have active Verizon SIM but not if you want to activate a new line with its IMEI

This phone comes with a charger, which is no longer with any flagship device since 2022.

This thread got me to check what phones they currently had on sale — the Pixel 6a for $49.99 + $40 first month = $89.99 is a good enough price for me. Thanks for the heads up.

I have one, but don't use it as a phone yet (it's for beermoney mining). But I can attest to the fact that physically it's solid - flagship level metal feel to the case. If that matters to you.

Can't comment on Verizon, but I've not been able to use any unlocked metro or boost mobile phone on the Xfinity network.

Isn't the G Stylus 2022 or 6a better deals?
