With the introduction on Mark II, looks like there are some good deals on original R6. Multiple retailers are selling this for $1999 (which was front page deal at that price for last black Friday), but there are some goodies now:
With free Canon BG-R10 grip ($350 value)With 10% cashback (on Prime card):- Amazon: (https://www.amazon.com/Canon-Full...08BVT9CK2/) has the same price ($1999) and offers 10% cashback if you have Prime card. This may be more useful to those who don't care about the $350 grip, but would love $200 cashback.
Kits with different lenses are also on sale:
- with 24-105mm f/4-7.1 Lens is 2299
- with 24-105 f/4L is 3099
Amazon has the same 10% cashback on the kit, but Adorama and B&H has no extra savings.

While the R6II has a newer sensor with improved AF, the R6 still has excellent AF and uses the sensor from the 1DxIII so it's plenty good enough still.
That said, the R8 is also a very viable option if you don't need IBIS or the same build quality and can't afford the R6II
This is a great camera with two big caveats:
- 20 Mpxl. Enough but not enough in 2023. (I wouldn't buy a 20 Mpxl body in 2023. But it'll still take wonderful images. Any FF body from the past 10 years will. There is no real IQ improvement since the 5D III / 6D).
- It's an older, recycled sensor as compared to what the R5 Mark I has. It's previous gen. Not sure this sensor has the R5's improved DR. It may have the old Canon DR, which is WAY behind Sony's.
Disclaimer: I own four Cano bodies and two Sonys. I am NOT a Canon or Sony fanboy. I like both systems.

This R6 was 1599 plus 10% canon loyalty discount at the canon outlet last month.
R8 with faster focus was 1499.
The slower RP was 599, good as a backup or slow subjects. The RF lens are getting cheaper, but still on the expensive side. EF len the better value with EF to RF adapter.
There also excellent older DSLR certified deals on used with warranty on SL2, T7i. D70, D6mk2,M50 for $100-400 and cheap 2.8 glass. 50-90% off.
don't let other SD members fool you into thinking you need 45-105MP for cat photo, must need fancy $1600 mirrorless, or need to spend $2k-$5k for a slightly better phone pic.
