Edit: it looks like there can be overheating after prolonged 4k60fps shooting. But there is a 30 minutes clip limit. Maybe new firmware makes this better.

I experience overheating on my Canon R6 only when, for some reason, I film for more than one hour when it's really really hot. If you shoot in 4k 60....I assume you're going to slow it down in post....I would try to shoot in a more "surgical" way...shorter clips that you're sure you're going to use in the final video. It doesn't matter if it's 4k 24 or 4k 60...if it's very hot the camera will eventually overheat but of course, in 4k 60 the overheating alert will appear sooner than if you shoot in 4k 24.
