Keep in mind the best thing you can do is have good systemic cooling. This just helps moves the heat off certain aspects that can get hot on the SSD board itself but if your overall system cools well, it's kinda pointless IMHO
These were $245 a few months ago! The best Gen 4 drive. I would've jumped on this in a heartbeat if I didn't have my Sk Hynix P41 platinum.
Will Amazon match bh? I didn't jump on it last time but now I'm in a hurry to have a new build to run a local chatgpt, everybody told me I'd better go with 2TB than a 1TB.
Samsung really screwed up with the 990 Pro, up until that one, I only ever bought Samsung SSD's. But now they really aren't any better than cheaper competitors.
I got the sn850 now, and something I realized quickly is that I had some micro stutters before, now It's somehow magically cured. I don't have any data to back it, but it's something
In Windows 10 & 11, BitLocker Drive Encryption by SW adds CPU and RAM overheads. I found only 3 SSDs include AES encryption by HW - Samsung 990 Pro, 980 Pro, and Crucial P5 Plus.

Why are you spreading false information?
Having a heatsink means more surface area for thermal dissipation. These are usually made of copper or aluminum which have thermal conductivities that are thousands of times higher than ambient air.
There's a reason water cooled systems still have big chunks of metal for the water blocks above each chip and big radiators to go along with it: Water conduction alone isn't enough to cool them.

Never mind, that was the 980 Pro. Since this is the 990 Pro, I'm assuming it's a good price?
Yes i bought at 139 as well that 980 Pro
This is a bot.

Not spreading misinformation, I'm talking about an enclosed box case that has the ability for mass fan cooling. If you're pulling the heat out of an enclosed box very efficiently, it's thermally better than an 80mm heat sync on an SSD.
