the only difference between the inside and outside grey version ($40 each) is that the outside version has a little weather seal around the battery cover. so as cheap as these inside are you can just use them outside and if/when they fail just replace them! laugh out loud

I actually put some silicon seal around the edges. Have them on my backyard gate. My kids sometimes leave it open. This works just fine.I have had this setup for about 5 months in sun rain and snow

yup, same here. have several outside on gates and items that shouldnt get moved and if they do the magnet will separate from the contact and trigger an alarm/notification.

They're just Zwave sensors, so they should work with any Zwave capable hub.
