Same here. I had a $5 certificate that would expire in a couple weeks so I went ahead and ordered one. Already have a wired black version of the controller. It's not the enhanced so doesn't have the extra buttons. It's been replaced once due to stick drift so this will be a backup for when his current one dies again. I don't think they'll replace it a second time under warranty.

WalMart used to (~2019) have PowerA xbox controllers on clearance for $5. I bought 10. They all failed within 1 or 2 months with drifting analog stick and mushy buttons. Terrible.

I think these are somewhat better than their older models. I've used this exact controller for about 6 months with no sign of it wearing out, whereas my other non-enhanced model has suffered some, particularly in terms of buttons not responding consistently. Neither have any stick drift, though.

I do like the ergonomics of the non-enhanced version better though. Larger sticks.
