Makes me almost regret $1,549 512 gig one I bought from Costco. Oh well. I've gotten two months worth of use out of it so far which I otherwise wouldn't have.

Great deal OP. Thx for finding this.

Thought this was the 16" model for a second and almost ran to Adorama.

16" from Costco was super rare deal, I tried 4 different Costco and no one has it available. considering that, this is still good price for Pro series as if you look at Apple Certified Refurbished for similar configuration with 512 SSD; they are selling for $1539 on Apple website.

I tried to buy this @adorama last week and it took so long for the Adorama to verify. Later they canceled my order because the verification system kept rejecting me. Just a weird experience...

For anyone trying to decide between Adorama & Costco Deal, here is an overview of the positives and negatives when compared against one another.

Adorama's 14" Macbook Pro:
+ves - Compact Design, Lightweight, More Storage
-ves - thermals, more price, 8core processor, battery
Costco's 16" Mackbook Pro:
+ves - More screenspace, Better cooling system, better battery, better Processor (10 core), less price, additional Costco warranty
-ves - less storage, more weight

99% of Costco does not have 16" in stock.

For 99% people here does not get affected by 8 core or 10 core considering they will definitely not be doing hard core programming and editing work.

Thermal cooling is only issue when you are using all of your memory at full capacity and you are working for at least couple of hours , which again 99% people here will not be doing.

Many people are trying to compare all MacBook deals with Costco 16" I've seen but that deal was finding mining gold which not everyone were able to get.

Also Costco warranty has also been updated for MacBook and laptop if not mistaken. Only perk is 90 day's return policy

I do not disagree with your assessment, but since people plan to keep it for 4-5 years, I think Processor, Thermals & Battery play a major role than the storage as it can be managed externally. I agree Costco deal is hard to find as it is a YMMV & in-store.
My intention is to present important differences for people who have access to both and are on the fence to make decisions.
regarding the warranty, Costco used to have 2 + 2 years of warranty with a Costco Credit Card, but they are not offering additional 2 years with Credit Card. They still have 2 years warranty, free technical support, and a 90-day return policy on all electronics.

can't you return almost anything to Costco whenever you'd like?

I feel like I read about slick dealers abusing that policy all the time lol

Your chart is correct, but I think for most people it really just comes down to if you need/want that larger 16" screen. the rest of the stuff is easy to work around.

Anyone able to buy it? Adorama is keeping my order on hold and asking for wire transfer. Is it legit?

For what it's worth, Costco has 90 days return policy.
