Ok, tried to price match GC/MF on the Baked Blue and they're doing it! So not only are they honoring the $750 but I'm getting 0% financing for 48 months!! woot

There is a pretty big difference between how a lot of them look, since it's a natural grain pattern. Some wider spaced grain, some closer, some packed, it's all over the map. For the money this is really hard to beat. If you could price match GC, so you could return/exchange, it might be worthwhile.

You are right .. I just picked up the Guitar Red HT6 from GC. It is super light and OMG the build is heavenly. Beats my PRS SEs all day long and almost close to my PRS CE. Haven't plugged into an AMP yet but will do so soon. Will return the GC as I already ordered one from PAS. It's as light as my Ibanez S series. I am thinking like <6lbs.

Just got the Jackson from GC. Will return it as I ordered one from PAS. The neck is really on par with my Charvel. A little flatter but same width.

Congrats. Waiting on confirmation from PAS before I return mine to GC. I don't want to bother trying to get 50 bucks reduced.

Ok I got the shipping confirmation from ProAudio so back to GC this one goes.

Having spent a few hours with the Jackson HT6 I have mixed emotions
  • I love the body and weight. The charvel felt like it was twice as heavy even though I didn't pick up my LP which I'm sure is crazy heavy. The way the bolt is placed on the Jackson is the first time I have ever felt a taper on the bolt contour. It feels fantastic.
  • The fishmans are super versatile which is both a pro and a con. They lack the depth of my PAF SD 59s but the fishmans actually sound better in an acoustic modeler
  • The neck is super thin .. it's a little less comfortable playing chords than playing lead which this guitar was built for I think.
  • The Clean is a win for the Fishman.
  • The Crunchy is a win for the Fishman as well
  • The Heavy is a win for both depending on what you play. Metallica - Fishman. Slash - SD 59. Jimmy Page - fark no one can play like him.
  • I did download a gilmour patch on my spark and it is super noisy on the SD but easy to clean on the fishman
  • The tone control and volume control are way more usable in my Jackson Fishman than my Charvel SD

Thank you, this is the exact configuration I was looking for. I was even eyeing the Charvel pro-mod so-cal style 2 24 HH for a while which has very similar specs except for it has roasted maple neck, and has an ash variant that looks like cheap furniture. This is cheaper and better looking.

I could not find info online about how to do a price match with Guitar Center. Could someone please explain?

You can't price match the Style 2 24 HH because that is not on sale. You can however match the OP sale which is the following 2 links

1. Ask them to place an order with pickup at store. Pick another color if you want to. They have no problem with it. The OP post has the sandblasted Ash finish which is the most expensive and the lightest but if you want the cheaper 1k colors then thats up to you.

Sorry my post was confusing, I meant I wanted to price match op's post about the guitar with the Fishman pickups and HT. Thank you for your instructions.
