Description A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend.
There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars… or ending them. But they are feared for those powers, and in recent centuries, they have been hunted nearly to extinction.
The few remaining survivors must find a way to change how humanity perceives them or be lost to the world forever.
The Dragon Blood Collection includes three full-length novels of action, magic, and romance:
Balanced on the Blade's Edge
Deathmaker
Blood Charged

The Audible links need to be posted, so that people with Audible credit can use it!
For any completionists, Dragon Blood series seems to run up to 8 books in its series and Fallen Empire is up to its 9th book (which also happens to be the only audiobook not available Audible (at least, not available yet)).
I listened to the first 3 audiobooks on my audible subscription then I got the other books on kindle. Got all the way to the 8th book and I enjoyed it.
These are free to listen to if you have an audible membership.

It looks like Dragon Blood is also free on Kindle (for the non-audio-book) right now. Maybe not a good sign.
Anyone read these? Any good, or free/discounted for a reason?
I got the first silo book (titled 'Wool') for free from a deal post on here back in 2020. It's now adapted into a successful tv series on Apple TV+. As a serial free kindle book collector, I didn't even remember I had the book until I started watching the series, liked it, then looked up the book on Amazon only to see I've had the first one for years. Currently has tens of thousands of reviews on Amazon at 4.5 stars.
My point is, I wouldn't look too much into promos that exist for books….especially when it comes to series. Their whole thing is to give you incentive to buy the first book or give it out for free…with the hope that you'll like it so much that you'll buy the rest of the series at regular price.

Good point. I loved Wool - hoping the show is as good as the books.
In any case, I did grab these, they're in the queue, they'll get a chance. 😊

I love the show so far. Haven't read the books yet, but Reddit says the show is moving slowly compared to the books and season one will probably only get halfway through the first book. There is a 3 month trial for Apple TV+ for "purchase" on best buy. It's posted here on slickdeals somewhere, if you wanna check the show out for free. Season 1 will be finished airing in 2 weeks, and season 2 has already been announced.

Usually it's to get you hooked on the series so you'll pay top dollar for the newer books.
