I'm moving from Redpocket. I'm a low data user and was on their Verizon plan with 1000 mins, unlimited texts and 1GB data/month. Data top ups were 100MB for $2 or 250MB for $5. Now the smallest top up is 1GB for $10 or 2GB for $20. If I run out of data 2 or 3 days before my plan renews I'm now spending double what my monthly plan cost just to have data for a few days. Also when you run out of data the only way to send texts is via wifi. Bye bye Redpocket. You finally got too greedy.
I've been on their 100/100/500 plan for years ($60/year) and I still have the option of topping up for $2 (100 MB/mins) or $5 (250MB/500mins).

But I would say it is about time they start competing a little harder on price. Thye've been at the same level for years now. They sometimes seem more interested in selling iPhones than in selling their service.

Nevertheless, I am buying another year on eBay: 100/100/500 for $5/month (no taxes), including VoLTE and VoWIFI, is still pretty good.

Edit: I am on GSMT (TMO) which may explain the difference in top-up options.

Can't wait for my 1 year period to be over so I can leave this company. Data so slow and technical support awful.
What plan do you have? I'm assuming it's cutting over to the slower speed after you're using the "5g amount"? Or let us know if it's different.

Compare to AT&T prepaid annual plan for $300 and 16GB monthly data with rollover. Buy their gift cards on sale from Target or Kroger and avoid all taxes and fees.
I paid $300 for the 25GB web plan last winter. What's the benefit of the 16GB plan? I don't need rollover as I tend to use max data. No issue with QCI either - I've been satisfied with RP. I had the 20GB ebay plan before but switched to the web 25GB. Only sacrificed avoiding sales tax with the ebay renewals but the extra 5GB/mo was worth the extra $15.nn/yr I paid. I appreciate the Target/Kroger discounts, I buy them for other plans I have but data is primary for me on this line.

On eBay the renewal price was and is the same as new activation. It used to be same as website price but it is higher now. I was waiting for eBay egift cards to arrive. Ended paying $209 instead of $199 for the 10GB/8GB plan. It is still better than the regular $240 price.
Where did you purchase the ebay gift cards from?

Does the RP plan have hotspot? Pretty sure the AT&T prepaid plan does. Also, buying AT&T locked phones work on it, which was nice a few years ago. Moved over to US Mobile myself

Is it on GSMA or GSMT?
When did they do the change?

IS there a deal on cheapest/smallest yearly plan?
200 min per month enough.
Doesn't have to be Redpocket or ATT network.
Thanks

Thanks, but isn't 30$ a standard price?

I've never seen it lower and the ebay coupons usually don't apply to this one. I'm just hoping they don't discontinue this plan because it's good enough for one of my family members.

I thought Mvnos were pretty much similar in providing service, but had to find out after buying redpocket gsma annual plan they charge separately for visual voicemail. Didn't know they can nickel and dime you on things that are expected as basic phone service.

Not too big a deal in the grand scheme, but it still irks me I have to dial voicemail like it's 1999 when using iPhone on esim.

Something to be aware of.

Weird. I contacted them and got visual voicemail for free
