$6 isn't enough. I'm going to swap over to pennzoil. They still have their $10 dollar rebate and the price at Walmart is cheaper than Mobil 1

Because many rebates don't end up getting claimed or used which means some people accidentally pay full price when they intended to get the rebate.

So answer this question for me if you can. My car has 230k on it when I got rid of it. 10k oil changes. How is it possible if 10k oil changes ruin the engine?
I'm not disagreeing with you. I can can only vouch for my own actions and experiences. It's awesome you were able to go 230,000 miles with only 23 oil changes. I wish I had the same success. Maybe this stupid Volvo is just brutal on oil? Or just a poor engine design?

regardless its still cheaper to buy the 6qt package from bjs or costco which ends up being less per qt both are on the list so no need to do all of this buy and return and you are paying less
And still cheaper per quart to get the Kirkland 5 qts and not deal with the rebate stuff. I understand some people are Mobil 1 diehards but I'm completely a Kirkland convert after having used it.

Most likely engine design. Is it a direct injection engine. Those seem to have the most oil problems. That's because of the design . Or maybe your engine just had bad parts. It happens.

Proof of what? I change oil on my cars every 6 months regardless of mileage (2~5K miles).
I have been using Mobil synthetic oils in my three cars I have owned. Oil changes every 15k-20k or more. None of these cars had any engine issues. First Honda was junked because the body was gone at 300k miles, second Infiniti was sold with 240k and kid raced afterwards with no issues, third Honda only has 84k and 4 oil changes.

I had issues with the rebate once in the past, and gotten another one just fine.

Scam! You can't buy from Walmart and Amazon so you will end up paying more than if you buy fromany of these 2.

I bought 2 five-quarts from Walmart yesterday. Submitted the claim the same day, and was approved this morning. So, I can confirm that Walmart is a participating store.

How can that be so when some people here say changing oil @10k will destroy your engine.

They actually think Toyota and Honda want to be known as manufacturers as people who make bad engines even though they don't make any money on oil changes.

Let them waste their money if they want to.

And real world tests are an accurate way to check oil, not a youtubers little homemade benchtop contraption. I haven't followed it for a few years, but not long ago, many people were showing real world UOA's that showed Pennzoil Ultra/Platinum was better than M1/EP.
You don't have to trust anyone or any real world bullshit. You can use my simple formula:

1. The company that has a lot more capital invested in R&D and hire talented chem/mechanical engineers and test engineers
2. Reputation of the company and how big of an impact it has on the overall market that it controls

Take for example, Apple vs Samsung engineers. So freaking obvious Apple engineers would absolutely destroy the Samsung engineers in each and every KPI that you want to look at to gauge performance of each individual.

Now, do you trust this stupid Penzoil engineer over Exxon Mobile engineers? Hello no!!!!

DUMB!!!
Ordered on Walmart.com and did pickup. They did not give me a register receipt so I just used the online receipt to submit the rebate. Got declined saying it's not a valid receipt. I resubmitted with a different version of the online receipt to get declined again. Not sure what else to try other than returning the online order and buying direct in store. Anyone have l luck getting an online order accepted?

I think you replied to me by mistake. I have no idea what you're talking about.
