These are super quiet and cool very fast.I replaced a 6000 btu regular window unit (from Walmart) and it's a night and day experience. My old one was so loud and took forever to cool my master bed/bath.
This is a hell of a deal for 12000, plus it looks like it just uses the 115v regular wall outlet. Not 220v.
They are basically a minisplit that's small and goes through your window instead of your wall.

The only thing it doesn't have is heat pump (the u-shaped ones don't have the feature. Regular shape ones do. Both are equally as quiet).

Cant speak for the $$ savings in electricity yet, but I dont like the idea of cooling the whole upstairs in TX heat when master is really the only room we use.
CLARIFICATION: Did not mean to imply the first one died after two years. This is a second unit to use in another part of the home.

Would it be worth it to drop $300+ for this unit? I pay on average $.38 per kwh.
I need A/C anytime weather gets to high 70's due to insultation situation. From the research I have done, most say A/C's break every 4-5 years and I may barely get my money back. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
