"The Complete Series." Just salt in the wound still.
He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
Stood up to the man
And gave him what for
Our love for him now
Ain't hard to explain
The hero of Canton
The man they call Jayne
Wash's Stegosaurus: Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... "This Land."
Wash's Allosaurus: I think we should call it "your grave!"
Stegosaurus: Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Rumor has it Disney is pondering a reboot. Firefly is back on Hulu, and there is alot of rumors out there lately. Hopefully they are feeling out the public with stuff like this. Here is an article if you wish. https://movieweb.com/heres-what-t...sney-plus/
However the word on those rumors are that Disney would drop Inara's character or make her role more family-friendly so they are going to water down some of the characters and jokes
Half the price I paid for in 2010 when it became available on BRD.
Factoring in all the inflation under Obummer, the deflation under Orange Man, and Bidenflation, it's 1/4 the price I paid in 2010 and I called myself *lucky* back then for getting it at only $26...

That is off the table with the Joss Whedon debacle. They're not bring it back or rebooting it. They are now in the talks and working on rebooting or continuing Space:Above and Beyond. We'll see how far development goes on that. I'm just hoping it won't be a remake and it'll be a continuation, if it goes further than preproduction stuff.
You mean half a season, full seasons were 20-24 episodes at that time. Yeah 20 years ago TV was a lot more different.
The worst was ( Kinda showing my age ) when a series would leave the last episode of he season as a huge cliffhanger, and make you wait months to see how the episode ended ( and this would be episode 1 of the following season )
It was madding
Amazing TV series, they made a big mistake cancelling this one, it could have been so huge if just more people were aware of it during its launch instead of after the series ended.
Then why did the movie bomb?
Sometimes not enough people like the same things as you do. Plus the show was ahead of it's time.
Quite possibly the most overrated show ever aired. If it was so good, why only 1 season, and 1 movie? Lots of hype by keyboard warriors living in their parents basements with no money, apparently.
What does it say about the loser who had nothing better to do than waste his time making fun of others for enjoying a TV show?
How does this edition compare to the Fifteenth Anniversary Edition on BluRay I already have? That one also had all 14 episodes, but I'm unsure how the bonus content compares.
Although it was made for SD TV, this was shot and framed with widescreen in mind and either in HD or on film, so the talking parts on set (which is most of the show) look fantastic. The CG shots were only done at SD and look substantially worse. They were upscaled when this set was initially released but upscaling tech has advanced substantially since then, it would be nice if they took another crack at upscaling those effects shots.

Partly the movie bombed, because there was a ton of prescreening for fans of Firefly. They pretty much shot themselves in the foot by doing that. All the fans that wanted to see it, already did, before the official release of the movie. Most fans did not want to see Book and Wash die again was the backlash at the time.
Marketing thought it was a good idea to keep prescreening to fans that didn't get a chance to see it the first time. They thought it would generate enough buzz to the general audience, or bring in new people who never watched the TV series. It was a failed marketing attempt.
If by a ton of facts you meant zero facts, ok. I've never even watched firefly but have understood for a while it is a niche show with a cult following. Shows like that are not usually bad, they are usually weird, and don't catch on with the general public. If that's what you meant by overrated, ok. To me that is the definition of underrated, but you do you.

I was wondering about how it was shot. It looks decent but there's a good amount of grain so I was thinking it was shot on film especially given the time it was shot at.
UPDATE: Actually watched the bonus on disc 2 last night and they talked about how it was shot and it was film from what they concluded. Interesting timing.
