I'd point out this won't matter to everyone. Obviously I'd love an LG OLED, but even if I had one I turn on then whatever box I'm using does the rest. Right now it's mostly the newest Apple TV 4K, which is blazing fast, and retails for under 150. Pretty easy to just grab the Vizio and a box that will outperform the LG for far less. There are other issues, but I've never worried about the OS much.

Seriously loved this TV especially if you watch lots of hdr content I returned it for the x900h and a tv that's 2X as much at the time and the vizio beat it easily in everyway...
I had to return it bc had eARC issues with my $500 5.12 soundbar
This tv is not perfect by any means, has software lag and the software isn't the best, but the image is above anything else in its class. I spent weeks going to stores before I bought mine, couldn't afford Oled at the time, entry level full array Samsung and sonys were also substantially more, and somehow the Vizio still looked lightyears better. If you can get over clunky software, its a fantastic tv for image quality, you probably won't get anything much more vibrant than this at this price range.
I just upgraded from 2016 vizio p65 (very similar PQ to this) to a 65" LG c1.
Vizio picture quality for HDR is just as good as the oled in my opinion.
Vizio downsides - reflection handling was terrible. Even though it is a lot brighter screen, the infamously dark oled is actually easier to watch in a bright room because of the reflection handling
-Even though both TV's are 120hz native, motion clarity on C1 is way way better. It's not even close. I didn't realize how big of difference this was.
-on board sound on vizio was horrible. You basically need to have external sound. LG c1 is good enough that you don't need one for casual viewing.
-vizio only lasted 5 years
-viewing angle on vizio was annoyingly bad
I don't think I'd get another vizio p series, even though PQ was fantastic.
The only thing I hate about Oled is knowing that burn in is possible. Regardless of how risky it really is, it's just annoying for it to be a concern at all.
The perfect use for it would be a very large one in the basement with a surround sound system, a place where it doesn't have to worry about reflections much.
Vizio's are so bad I will never buy one again. The OS is so slow, everything about the experience is mediocre when compared to LG's TVs, as a single point of comparison. In almost every case I would recommend you to buy an LG C1/C2, G1, etc. over a Vizio.
But you're comparing to LG which is 3 times the price.

Yes, I realize - and that's a fair callout you're making. What I mean to say for myself is that I'd rather spend more money on the LG than find a 'slick deal' on a Vizio. I've had such a bad experience with them, overall.
I have an LG Oled C1 in a 48" model which I found used a microcenter for $650. I also have a 65" G1 which I got from a slickdeals competitor for a decent price.
the tcl series 6 75 inch tv goes for 799 at amazon and best buy. I have the older version of this (with 2.0b inputs) in 75 inches, and its a great tv. I also have an oled 65 inch.
the viewing angle is limited on this. and the blacks are not as good as the oled. the version I have is the quantum which does have slightly better contrast ration compared to this. Just for those considering other options.

I've had a ton of Vizio TV's and had pretty good experiences with them until my P55-F1, which every single one they sold had the FALD fail at 13-16 months. Out of warranty and they did absolutely nothing for all the people who bought what was their flagship TV at the time. Only solution to stop a constant shadow from appearing on the TV as you watch was to turn off HDR on your streaming device and turn the back light to low.
Will never buy another Vizio TV due to VIzio refusing to stand behind a product they built that should have been recalled.

I had this TV and returned it in favor of lg c2. And in some cases, this TV showed brighter images and came close to the OLED level of quality.
