I have samples of Aventus and it is a very nice scent, but it's one of few that I've found where the cheapo dupe (Armaf Club de Nuit Intense) is 99% as good, and that's $30 for 200ml. More power to people who want the real stuff, but for those that just want the fresh scent, I'd be hard to justify paying 8-10x for 1/2 the amount

I bought Aventus on a whim, sight unseen, back when I was dating. The price is obviously obscene if you're not really into the cologne world, but I will say I received a lot of compliments. After using it for quite a while, I can say I'd definitely buy it again.

I will say that initially I felt disappointed in its longevity, however I think that was more a matter of me just getting used to it, because I would receive compliments from people well after I thought it had worn off. Kind of like how I couldn't smell tires anymore an hour into my shift at the tire shop.

I'm probably down to the last 25% or so of my 1.7oz bottle. Maybe I'll give that dupe mentioned above a shot when I re-up. I've got newborn twins and a fiancé that I adore now, and I was wearing this stuff on our first date! Coincidence? I think not. Without the cologne, I'd probably be 35 years old, divorced, and living in a van down by the river.

Sure, least offensive to those people who find it offensive. Does not bother me. I find women's perfume to be pleasant, esp if I am attracted to them. Men's cologne I tend to ignore. But I don't have a strong sense of smell, never have. Maybe that's why it does not bother me. Maybe your sense of smell is strong and hence why it bothers you?

On a personal level, I occasionally use cologne. When I do, I find the women around me tend to comment on it. The comments are almost alway positive.

Original Aventus... Pre-2014... was heaven. Then they reformulated and took birch out. It's not been the same. If you still want to know what this or many of the premium fragrances (NOT colognes) smell like, join one of the many "split" groups on FB and get it for much less. If you haven't, try Naxos by the Italian perfume house Xerjoff and feel just a little bit close to heaven 😁

There are some fragrances that get cloned. Their price is higher for a reason. The dupes come close but are not exacts. Everyone has their preference. I have several dupes that I am comfortable with the subtle difference for the lower price. Then there will be originals that are just better. You will find that some fragrance houses will be expensive like Creed or Tom Ford.

Not everyone can afford the Ferrari so they settle for a cheaper sports car. Same here. Buy what you can afford and like. If your lady likes it, who cares if it's a clone.

200ml is 6.8 oz. That one costs $53 currently on amazon. Did you mean the 3.6 oz bottle or is there a store that sells the 6.8 oz. one for $30?
